About La Costa Oaks
La Costa Oaks, located in the southeast corner of Carlsbad in the La Costa area, and bordering San Marcos, is a large project on 741 acres of rolling hills. One of the 4 communities in the La Costa Villages (La Costa Valley - built and sold out), La Costa Greens and La Costa Ridge, La Costa Oaks opened in July of 2004. This subdivision is located about 5 miles inland, off La Costa Avenue and Rancho Santa Fe Road.
This community of 1032 homes consists of 12 neighborhoods, and has been developed by a number of well-known area developers - Shea Homes, K. Hovnanian, Pulte, Centex Homes, and Warmington Homes. Properties range in size from around 3,700 SF to a bit over 4,700 SF with 3 to 5 bedrooms.
